ILTA’s 2011 IT Compensation Survey is a self-reported salary survey that analyzes the input of more than 1,900 survey participants from law firms within the United States, covering the following functional areas:

• Enterprise or Departmental Management of IT (Technology/Systems)
• Network Services
• Helpdesk and Desktop Support
• End User Technology Training
• Application Development
• Application Administration
• Telecom and Audio-Video
• Litigation and Practice Support
• Knowledge Management
• Portal/Intranet and Web Development

The data is reported by region and division (as defined by the U.S. Census Bureau) and by firm size, when sufficient data was available for a particular functional area. Additionally, metro area data is available for 15 major metropolitan areas for various titles (where sufficient data was reported).
